CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Executive Director, Home Health

Leading Faith-Based, Not-for-Profit Health System  |  Home Health Services

Greater Orlando & Tampa Bay Markets, Florida  |  Full-Time  |  Day Shift  |  On-Site

    COMPENSATION: $127,311 – $236,790 + Executive Benefits Package

If you’re a home health executive spending more time navigating reimbursement cuts and staffing crises than actually transforming care delivery, you’re not alone. With industry turnover approaching 80% and CMS finalizing its third consecutive year of PDGM payment adjustments, the leaders who stay in this space aren’t just managing agencies—they’re absorbing an unsustainable level of regulatory, financial, and operational pressure.

This role is different. It’s the chance to lead a home health operation backed by the infrastructure, mission clarity, and financial strength of a 100,000-employee health system—where your strategic vision is resourced, your clinical teams are supported, and your impact reaches across two of Florida’s largest and fastest-growing healthcare markets.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client—a Great Place to Work®-certified, Fortune-recognized not-for-profit health system operating 57 hospitals across nine states—is seeking an Executive Director of Home Health to provide strategic and operational leadership for home health services spanning the Greater Orlando and Tampa Bay markets. Reporting directly to senior division leadership, you will oversee multi-site operations across 17 locations, including budgeting, business development, quality performance, regulatory compliance, and workforce planning. You will lead a team of clinical and operational professionals with full authority to implement innovative care models, drive top-quartile quality outcomes, and expand market-based services. This is not a role where you manage from the margins—you will function as a senior executive at the table, shaping care-at-home strategy for one of the nation’s largest and most mission-driven health systems.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

•       Executive Authority with Enterprise Backing — You won’t fight for resources or justify your existence. You will lead with the full operational and financial support of a $23B+ health system that has invested heavily in care-at-home expansion, giving you the infrastructure to execute your vision—not just cope with constraints.

•       Meaningful Scale Without Bureaucratic Isolation — Oversee 17 locations across two major Florida markets with direct access to health system leadership. This is multi-site executive leadership with a clear reporting structure, not a siloed administrator buried under corporate layers.

•       Mission-Driven Culture, Not Just a Tagline — This organization’s whole-person care philosophy is embedded in every operational decision. Certified as a Great Place to Work® and named to Fortune’s Most Innovative Companies list, the culture is measurable—not aspirational.

•       Clinical Innovation Over Regulatory Survival — While competitors scramble to absorb PDGM adjustments, this system has the data infrastructure, OASIS expertise, and value-based care capabilities to turn regulatory shifts into competitive advantages. You’ll drive quality improvement, not just compliance.

•       Stability in a Volatile Industry — Benefits from day one, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions, four weeks of 100% paid parental leave, and up to $21,000 in tuition assistance. The organization invests in retention because it values long-term leadership—not revolving-door management.

•       Work-Life Integration at the Executive Level — A day-shift, on-site role with a schedule designed for sustainability. You’ll lead with predictability and purpose in two of Florida’s most desirable metro areas—not clock endless hours compensating for understaffed operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

•       Provide executive leadership and operational oversight for all home health services across the Greater Orlando and Tampa Bay markets, driving strategy, growth, and market expansion.

•       Develop, execute, and monitor facility and departmental budgets to ensure appropriate staffing levels, professional development, and resource allocation aligned with organizational goals.

•       Implement and drive quality initiatives targeting top-quartile performance on clinical outcomes, patient experience (HHCAHPS), and HHVBP measures.

•       Ensure full compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, PDGM requirements, OASIS data collection standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations.

•       Lead innovative care model development and deployment to improve the care-at-home experience for patients and families, leveraging the health system’s enterprise data and technology platforms.

•       Build and execute workforce plans including succession planning, talent development, mentoring, and diversity initiatives to sustain a high-performing, engaged team.

•       Collaborate with business unit partners, physician networks, and community stakeholders to establish comprehensive market-based services and referral relationships.

WHO YOU ARE

Required

•       Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.

•       10+ years of progressive healthcare experience, including 5+ years of healthcare management experience with at least 2 years in home health.

•       Broad knowledge of home health care operations, CMS regulatory requirements, PDGM, OASIS, and Conditions of Participation.

•       Demonstrated expertise in budget management, business development, quality improvement, and executive-level strategic planning.

•       Proven leadership in matrix-management environments with strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred

•       Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

•       Financial management experience with P&L oversight responsibility.

•       Formal process improvement training (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).

•       Project management and program development experience.

•       Track record of leading multi-site home health operations across diverse geographies.

YOUR TOTAL REWARDS

Compensation

•       Base salary range: $127,311 – $236,790, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

•       Performance-based merit increases and executive incentive opportunities.

Health & Wellness

•       Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective from Day One—no waiting period.

•       Comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with mental health resources and whole-person well-being support.

•       Employer-sponsored wellness program with online health portal, goal tracking, and spouse participation.

Financial Security

•       403(b) retirement plan with employer match (50% of the first 4% contributed) and Adventist HealthCare Retirement Plan (AHRP) with employer-funded contributions.

•       Employer-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.

•       Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for healthcare and dependent care expenses.

•       College savings plan (529) through BlackRock.

Growth & Development

•       Up to $21,000 in tuition assistance for degree programs, plus tuition discounts through the affiliated university.

•       Student loan repayment assistance: up to $200/month for full-time team members.

•       Dedicated career development programs, leadership training, and succession planning pathways.

Work-Life Balance

•       Paid time off (PDO) from Day One, with 24 hours available immediately upon hire.

•       Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave.

•       Bereavement program, pet benefits, and merchant discount program.
